Redicean runs in the Elite Hurdle at Wincanton at 3.00 today. Bet365 offer 17/2 and that looks very big to my eye.
Redicean made an impression on many when scooting home in the Adonis Hurdle at Kempton last year. He disappointed in the Triumph, finishing too far back to simply blame the hill. He reappeared at Cheltenham at the end of October conceding weight to all rivals. He ran really well, but lack of race fitness or perhaps the hill might have found him out.
Wincanton is not a Kempton replica by any means, but it’s much less of a test than Cheltenham. Also, I wouldn’t discount the notion that Redicean might be better going right handed as he will be today.
At the price I make him a strongly recommended bet.
