Entries for the Betfair Hurdle (Newbury, February 9th) have been publshed. I have not looked through them in any detail but one caught my eye immediately – Lisp at 25/1 (William Hill).
If he runs I think he’ll be less than half those odds. I’ve had a quarter of my usual stake on at 25/1. If you are happy to take the risk that is always present with antepost bets – if your selection does not run your money is lost – you too might want to put a small portion on at 25/1.
Lisp’s trainer Alan King has a column in The Weekender, whch comes out tomorrow. I’d expect at least a hint from him about running plans for Lisp, at which point I will expand on the reasons for nominating the horse.
Good luck
Joe
