Beware The Bear’s talent over recent seasons has been diluted by his habit of dropping himself out, often coming from what looked an impossible position to finish pretty close to the winner.
He had wind surgery in August 2018 and on his first run since, in the Hennessy, wore cheekpieces for the first time. He still dropped himself out, but finished 4th in the end. Next time out – this time wearing blinkers for the first time – he was a revelation in making all at Cheltenham over farther than he’ll face in the Ultima on day one of the festival.
He’s 20/1 for this race and I think he’ll be half that price on the day. He’s trained by Henderson, one of the most successful festival trainers. Bet365 offer that 20/1 along with the NRNB guarantee. I strongly recommend that you take it.
Good luck
Joe

Great work, Joe. I go to the opening day of the Festival every year, so having taken your shrewd advice on Beware The Bear I was able to watch his triumph in the flesh.

Thanks, Mark. I hope you had a great day at the track. I love the place – just too busy for me these days.
All the best.
