Regular readers will have seen my tip some weeks ago for Sizing John at 50/1 in the Gold Cup. Well, he’s arguably even better value to win the Irish Gold Cup on Sunday. He won’t face any of the UK Gold Cup contenders and he won’t have to travel across the Irish Sea. Trainer Harrington reports that he has completed his final work for the race so he’s very much an intended runner. That’s good news in itself after his fall at at the penultimate hurdle last time out. He’d had a longtime off injured and such horses can be vulnerable to setbacks.
I recommend an EW bet for Sunday with William Hill who offer that standout 20/1. I think he’ll be half that price or shorter on the day.
Also, if you haven’t yet backed him for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, 40/1 NRNB is still available with Skybet. That too is worth a bet before Sunday.
Summary
Sizing John at 20/1 for the Irish Gold Cup – EW. 2 star bet. HIlls
Sizing John for the Cheltenham Gold Cup at 40/1 NRNB. Skybet Win only. 1 star bet
Good luck. Most tipsters are unreliable and inconsistent, including me. Don’t bet more than you can afford to lose with a smile – whatever the source of the tip.
All the best
Joe
I tend to agree and I am already on for both. We will learn more on Sunday. Be lucky.
