Apologies if you took my advice this morning; I couldn’t have been more wrong, with Cyrname running a splendid race and Lisnagar Oscar disappointing. I wouldn’t give up entirely on the latter. I assumed he’d be fit enough today, but perhaps he wasn’t.
You might have seen Battleoverdoyen win the Grade 2 chase at Down Royal today. It looks like they’ve finally found the right trip for this one, as his trainer later admitted, and he will surely go for The Ryanair at the Cheltenham Festival. I went looking for a price feeling happy to back him at 10/1. He is 20/1 with Bet365, and for any value hunter must be backed at that. I’ll be surprised if he’s bigger than 4/1 on the day.
Another I’d had in mind for The Ryanair is Simply The Betts. Who won at this year’s festival. He is 25/1 for The Ryanair, and this set me off on another perm of 32 lines. If you don’t care to follow me in the perm, think hard about backing Battleoverdoyen singly (as I have).
Perm: Bet365 prices
Champion Hurdle
Goshen 8/1 & Saint Roi 15/2
Champion Chase
Defi Du Seuil 10/1 & Put The Kettle On 16/1
Ryanair
Battleoverdoyen 20/1 & Simply The Betts 25/1
Stayers Hurdle
Paisley Park 7/1 & McFabulous 14/1
Gold Cup
Champ 10/1 & Santini 7/1
32x Fivefolds.
Don’t forget the risk involved in betting antepost like this. Should a horse of yours go wrong or not run for any reason, your money on that one is lost.
On the upside, should this come up in the ideal combination (biggest prices) you will collect just over £328,000 for a 50p line (total perms stake £16)
Good luck
Joe
