The Savills (2.25 Leopardstown) has a wonderful turnout courtesy of the three big guns – Mullins (5), Elliott (3), and De Bromhead (3) who supply 11 of the 14 runners. No fears here of hard races or stable companions fighting it out on track.
Not a race for a serious bet, but I’ve chosen two: A Plus Tard in first time tongue tie, and Presenting Percy. It’s impossible to say how much Percy’s fitness played a part last time, but his jumping was superb and he won easily. If Elliott has him anywhere near his RSA winning mood and form, he’ll be hard to beat.
A Plus Tard hasn’t won beyond 2m 4f. His only attempt at this trip saw him finish 3rd to Delta Work (unbeaten in three chases at Leopardstown, BTW) in April 2019 at right handed Punchestown. His top 6 Racing Post Ratings have been left handed; he’s one from one here at Leopardstown.
Whoever wins, it ought to be a brilliant race.
Good luck
