Well, we didn’t set the heath blazing with the first day of our selections. Mine for today is:
Starsky 3.00 Uttoxeter.
If anyone can find a Hutch running somewhere it would make a nice mug’s double.
Leave your nap selection below in the comments, and feel free to add others you fancy.
Thundering Nights and Pondus fir the Young Master at the Curragh.

I am not sure many other tipsters were on song. How about the Nicholas T win in the Northumberland Plate, for example? The horse had not run in a race at that distance since 2016. Perhaps something of a coup for the trainer? No-one spotted that! At the time of writing, I think someone’s Saturday tip is still to run: “Horologist”. I can be accused of being a clock watcher, here, of course. 21.14 at Thistledown. Now the favourite. maybe it’s time will come?

I’ve been studying the form for years and losing. Now that I have kids and don’t have the time to formulate my own opinion, i just tend to try and read trainer and jockey comments. It tends to work better, I still lose, but interspersed with some winners. Today Richard Fahey delivered with what was seemingly his best chance of the day,and it won easily. I love betting, and always will, but you do need some winners along the way…

I think it’s still on the clock. Very disappointing run weighed down by my tipping it.

3.35 I’ve gone for Topofthecotswolds because the post says it might not get the distance but has been backed from 16 to 8s. Minellacelebration won this last year but was beaten by Solomon grey so e.w at 5 places.

As Qua has eluded to in his comment, yesterdays results show how to tough it can be to pick winners!
Well in Jim Goldie and his tough 9yo – well deserved !
Today it’s too tough for me so a small speculative bet on Mrs Bouquet at the Curragh 3.05 14-1

Uttoxeter 3.35. Old boy Chidswell is capable of a bold show.

I thought a bit of money e.w at 5 places wouldn’t be the silliest move. 66 to 1.

Well that was a shame for Starsky there. Thought a move a little sooner might have a made the difference, not that I’d know..

I just saw that Alan King has sent Dan Horrisgle out to win a novice hurdle, easily, at Uttoxeter. One for the notebook. How high was he rated on the flat? Certainly no mug.
