Another three winners from yesterday’s comments section. The blog’s nap was a non runner. A good day’s racing in prospect. I will try again to land the four-timer. This time with Wink Of An Eye in the 5.15 Sandown at 3/1.

Please leave your nap in the comments section below and feel free to discuss any other sporting matters.

Good luck

Joe

  1. Agree on Dhushan and Longsider came up on tracker last night (probably on everyone’s after its last win) so will probably try to get yesterday’s losses back with a small double.

I notice that Michael’s getting it in the neck on TH today – the poor soul never learns, or maybe he enjoys it.

Have a good day all. The Eclipse is one to watch rather than get involved in – will it turn into a sprint? If so, will probably suit the favourite given the turn of foot shown at Chantilly.

  2. (Addeybb in the Eclipse, because I just like having an interest.) Reverend Hubert Haydock 14.05

  3. Doonard Prince 1.55 Naas.

I see mjw1959 is up to his usual tricks on TH (if you can find it, it disappeared mid morning!).

Good luck with all your bets.

  4. From a Horse Racing perspective I’ve been unable to tip my hat of late but luckily have been covering my losses on the football. So, with that in mind I’ll have a few quid on Cruyff Turn in the first at Haydock.

  5. 2.25 Pythagoras for me (shorter price than I was expecting) – has not seen out 10f this season, but hoping the drop back to a mile and low weight will do the job. I like Montatham (and Haggas), but I fear the weight is too much today.
Addeybb will also be on a betting slip for me today, but worried that it will not be a truly run race. Mishriff could prove the best (I was certainly wrong about Ghaiyyath last year), though versatile, has won on mostly flat tracks. St Mark’s Basilica may win a sprint finish and seems best of AoB’s 3 year olds (mostly uinderwhelming), but price is too short – – though the ridiculous short price of High Definition in the Irish Derby, meant I got a good price on Hurricane Lane 😀
I’ll find something to double up with Addeybb win only (possibly Statement).
Others I’ll probably include with Pythagoras in multiples: 1.50 Atalis Bay, 2.05 Dhushan and 3.15 Valyrian Steel.

A shame that there’s only 4 runners in the Eclipse today – but there’s class in the field – a way to go to match two of my favourite horses that won the Eclipse: Falbrav and Sea the Stars.

    1. Shame to see Valyrian Steel out – seems plenty are pulling out due to the ground at Haydock. And now Dhushan not going into stalls after losing a shoe – at least I get some money back on today’s racing!

        1. Yup, met too! I’ve put a little on Win O’Clock EW after Valyrian Steel’s absence. If all else fails, I might put a bit on Joe’s nap.

MJW on Guardian pages proving himself a twat AGAIN. The only piece this week about Al Zarooni and no comments, means I hope we see the old regulars here. Thanks Joe.

          1. This can be a silly game at times. Just had £5 EW on Rosemary and Thyme at 100/1 on the basis that nothing is 100/1 to 4 places in a 10 runner. I will have Sunday lunch in the pub!

            1. Well enjoy, nice touch! I did put half of my money back from non-runners on Joe’s pick Wink of an Eye, and as a result I have about 75% money back today. Don’t like chasing losses, but the money had already been staked earlier in the day!

  6. Selection is Selected in the 15:20 at Leicester. 7 runs since his last win, but I thought his last run showed promise.

Supplemented myself in the Eclipse for the 5th. place prize money.

  7. I had two more long odds wins yesterday which I did not put up. I think I shall change my name to Aftertiming here. So today, I shall mention a couple of these types rather than the alleged “nap” which has so far lost every time on here. 2.25 Sandown – Marie’s Diamond,15.15 at Haydock – The Trader. Avoid these at all costs.

  9. I’ve decided to try reverse psychology by only doing bismarks.. I’m also only able to see the 1.50 today so atalis Bay is my nap / bismark for everyone else!!

      1. Joe, you got me out of trouble today as virtually everything I backed flopped. I abandoned level stakes to back your nap to recover losses. You are on a great run.
