Three winners tipped yesterday in the comments section by RobJ, Mickle (again!) and Dirty Northerner: nice work.

The blog’s nap today is Keeper at 6/5 in the 5.05 at Wolverhampton.

Please leave your nap and any other tips in the comments section below. All are welcome here.

Remember to put the time of the race with your tips – it helps me do the evening roundup. Thanks.

Good luck

Joe

  1. Ava Go Joe drawn 1 in the 5.15 at Ponte seems to have a lot going for it, even if only 7/4 ish. Form suggests soft ground won’t suit but I am banking on that being misleading and it proving no problem. As ever, we’ll see.

  2. Waliyak 2-1 3.00 pontefract for me today. Ran well at ascot and has stamina proven at a stiff track.

Some cracking racing later this week folks. Newmarket/ York/ ascot. We do get spoiled at this time of year !

Hope the blog can get its fair share of winners !

  3. I am also on Waliyak, but at 9/4, doubled up with the Nap – Banbridge at Roscommon 5.25. Also of minor interest on a poor days racing (copy and paste) are Tareekh in the 1.50 at Ponty and Lightening Gesture in the 6.05 at Brighton.
Be lucky and isn’t it just bliss without Michael.

        Bets on for tomorrow Joe.

  4. I too was going to go for Ava a go Joe, or delgrey boy (pont 16:10). Could well be worth sticking with the favourites in the last four races at Pontefract. But at decent odds my nap will be eternal glory in the first (Pontefract).

  5. Im going to late today with Follow your fire UTT 6.45.

Away from naps, with a few friends we’ve got 5 or 6 horses in a wee syndicate and ive enjoyed that – we all put in 50 quid or so and bought some shares. you get good trainers like Johnston and Nichols so its been fun. We have one out today and its defo not a nap Asdaa at ponty which finally won fort us at 13 to 2 a week or so ago after plenty attempts – MJ certainly runs them. Its a good way to have an interest in a horse or two tho – you really don’t get any inside info. i think every horse update is “working well at home” or variants thereof but it is a bit of a fun.

  6. Having had 2 consecutive 2nds I hope I’m not coming down with a serious case of Seconditus.

Todays great hope is True Hero is the 14:45 at Wolves. I may have a couple of dollars e.w. on Tonkinese in the 18:55 at Roscommon as I’ve had some luck with him on the flat in the past, although the combined 208 lengths in defeats in his last 3 races isn’t exactly very encouraging.

  8. Just A Whim to continue my 100% record so far. Uttoxeter 8.15. Surely the good doctor won’t knock in another winner to spoil my fun..

  9. Ava Go Joe becoming a bit of a cliff horse for me but can’t help but think should have won (handled soft well enough as far as I could see). Fortunes to be lost – onward and downward we go.

  10. Hope it won’t be a cliff horse over time, but Princess Grace has left her Irish form behind, and has enjoyed success in the USA. She’s running at Parx in the 22:05. A slew of non-runners may seriously reduce her morning line odds but worth a second look. It’s her first appearance since November, so fitness has to be taken on trust.
