Hitlist: Updating with winners from Bacciodilupo – Hattie Amarin at 5/1 and the previous day Insinuendo 11/8: great work. Yesterday jakebuckfast napped a 4/1 winner, Siyata – Jake is never off the board for long. And another Hitlist regular Jonathan Dawe shows up again with Epidemic at 2/1. The tipsters in the comments section are building a strong reputation.

The blog’s nap today was a tough decision between Snowalot (8.45) and Just Fine (8.10). The former just gets the vote.

Please leave your naps/tips in the comments section; anyone can join in here, just make sure you enter a name when posting so you are not badged Anonymous.

Good luck

  1. i never thought I would see the day when the Coolmore Blue Bloods would be thrown at Naas like a Kitchen Sink.
They have the son of Lady Eli called Hms Endeavour running in the 16.15 on his debut. It is clearly a Sue Magnier name but I can’t stand War Fronts even when they run on concrete.which the small fields indicate is the case.today.
In the 17.20 are both Elizabethan who is out of the serial G! winner Misty For Me and therefore a full sister to US Navy Flag and More Beautiful who is out of the serial G1 winner Maybe and is therefore half sister to Saxon Warrior.
My nap is Sophie’s Star in the 17.50 at Naas. I know Peninne Hills is meant to be a shoo-in by beating Concert Hall on her only run but who knows the form of that race?
I suspect K R Burke has not come across the pond for Black Type because his staff enjoy the extra covid-19 stuff.
The form is 12212 which means 1 is the next number for my nap who is Sophie’s Star.

    1. HMS ENDEAVOUR “is doing my head in.” It’s gone out to 5/2, which is tempting in a pretty average field, but it’s bound to get placed WAR FRONT’s normally come on for the run, as do AOB’s, save for early doors this season. Best watched and cursing, than backed and head in hands. Then that 5/2 may not ever be seen again!

        1. I should have spotted Ladies Ladies Church in the Marwell Stakes.
I receive the Coolmore Newsletter thrice weekly and they are mad about the early Stallion career of Churchill. He is 18% win rate on Good or Firm and 0% on Soft or Heavy. Whilst it is early to judge I need to follow his Progeny in this Heat Wave.
I also think Murtagh will do something.
Ladies Church is a clever name.
The Church part comes from the Sire Churchill and the Ladies bit I believe comes from the Dam who is called Rioticism.

    1. I want to oppose the great and the good, 500C, with Rocket Dancer against these lesser types; has the pace to cope with 7f so I’m on ew.
755S Lyndon B has his conditions and offers ‘value’.
If they both lose I can only offer a Platitude in the last at Esher who might finally regain some form returning to fast going.

  3. I’m taking a chance with today’s NAP…..the beautifully named WREN’S BREATH in the 5.20 Naas…17/2 as I type ….unexposed with only the one run..Henry de Bromhead.

The other one that caught my eye is MASTER MILLINER 8.45 Sandown , Cieren Fallon’s only ride there (and today?) but drifting in the market!

  5. I’m late to attend today, due to work commitments. However, here we go. All prices are last night and I am concerned about the drift on SNOWALOT, although it is one of Cookie’s tips today.

The Nap is IRESINE 10/11 Vichy 8.45. Quite an amazing horse and one who has done me proud to date. This is in a multiple with HMS ENDEAVOUR 11/8 Naas 4.15 (and I fully concur with EGS on this one) and PENNINE HILLS 13/8 Naas 5.50.

I have also backed in a multiple MOTAWAAZY 2/1 Catterick 5.00, SILENT ESCAPE Leicester 7.50 and the aforementioned SNOWALOT 2/1 (now 7/2 !!!) Sandown 8.45.

There will be an update on the SYNDICATE this weekend as good progress is being made.

  7. Based on the Lingfield race I just watched and talking almost entirely through my pocket, can I have Pearly Prince as a rolling nap whenever it runs again in similar or higher grade please. The great man himself would be impressed with how little effort was received from the saddle there!!

      1. If Peter Rabbit was not forced today on that ground he will hardly be forced on Sunday.
This is not a trick question but how often does relocation between Countries of a Racehorse work (for the purpose of Racing. Not Abbatoir)?
‘So you think’ did average when shipped to Ballydoyle as did ‘Starstangledbanner’ from Australia.
The disappearing De Kock did well from South Africa with Ballydoyle cast offs.
I am struggling to think of a Horse who was really successful on moving Countries.

        1. I don’t think the rabbit will come out of the hat on Sunday. But if it does, it’s an EW wager again. The horse was held up nicely today, allowed to come into the race in it’s own time and then closed up without being hit. Soft, confidence boosting ride.
As for moving countries NORWAY was shipped out of Ballydoyle to Australia only to experience the neighbouring Stockholm Syndrome.

          1. Mentioning NORWAY will rise the slumbering Giant Beast of Dilton.
SIR DRAGONET will pull the beast out of his lair.

        2. Did Cliffs of Moher win a Cox plate after leaving Aiden ? Falbrav from Italy to Cumani was a sucess, I think.

          1. Cliffs Off Moher had to change his name when going down under. Mad legal stuff that only a certain Ballydoyle Nutjob might understand.
I had him at 25s for the Epsom Derby AP.
Clever spot with Falbrav. I guessed it would be Italian and sussed out that Nearco, Nearctic or Ribot definteley did not move Jurisdiction. I thought Humpty Dumpty might know of a Slovakian Horse who won the 1799 Gold Cup and he needs to migrate to these pages for our entertainment.
I am watching the Foodie stuff on the Guardain for BarneyRubblesBubbles but he has gone quiet lately.

  9. All after the event of course but O’Brien’s at Naas look ordinary whilst Ryan Moore wins on an armchair ride for Queen/Stoute. Oh for 20/20 vision and observing the bleedin’ obvious.
