Talking Horses Friday july 23rd 2021

I just started the heading ‘Talking Hoses’, a Freudian slip of some kind in this relentless summer …

Hitlist – yesterday saw RobJ back in form with Castana Dia. Rob’s apologetic about the price of 8/15, but how soon would you have a pile of banknotes if you could put up an 8/15 winner every day?

QuaiDB kindly points out that Cerises tipped a 16/1 winner Lyndon B on Wednesday – naps are good but all winners count here; well done Cerises – what a cracker.

The blog’s nap Inspiral, taken at 2/1, was hugely impressive winning at 1/1. The blog’s nap today is Vanitas in the 4.00 Thirsk at around 3/1. I also like First Dance in the 5.22 at around 9/1.

Please leave your naps and tips in the comments section – all welcome – and update the July Winners thread when anything you’ve mentioned is successful.

Good luck

    1. I am probably doubly posting.
Quai is correct in that Cerises has always known his onions and that 16/1 Shot seems ok to me and there will be more to come.
Anyone who built a coupon on Ballydoyle today will not be a happy bunny.
There are better times to come.
Love will find a way hopefully around 15.35 at Ascot on Saturday.
In the meantime I am happy to see Loveday win the 18.15 at Mallow today.
In the 16.45 at Mallow Latin Fury runs with form figures of 99 and I don’t know who to call if it comes 9th.
I once thought about backing a Horse down to 6 places with form of 66 and was shocked by an Irish Catholic sentiment I
      thought long abandoned.
My nap is in the the 19.45 at Mallow with Premium Ticket.
Bolger has never displayed affection for my local track and I am wary what he is up to.

        1. Yes, I think they would…..I knew the “anonymous “ post was you at paragraph 2!!! Didn’t know Jim has no gra ( can’t put a “fada” over the a…) for Mallow racecourse!

  1. INDIGO GIRL Ascot 3.00 is the Nap and is coupled with FRENETIC in the 18.45 at Cork.
We will find out today if the latter has trained on after a disappointing comeback run.

    1. Well done. Get in Frenetic. What a price for a horse, who has beaten 2 classic winners ! Had it doubled with Speedo Boy also. Happy days.

  2. Nap today is as high say (utt 15:50). Others I like are (Ascot) star calibre (14:30), who was almost the nap and indigo girl (15:00). Korker (13:45 Thirsk) and bhubezi (Newmarket 20:22). Good luck all.

  3. I don’t mind being Anonymous as long as I can get the royalties for all the poems he/she has published over the years

  4. Looking at Ascot today and likely tommrow for my bets.

Indigo girl looks to have it nicely at the weights but has been off while and had he issues.
Taking a bit of a chance on Declared Interest could be still improving. Hasn’t ran a bad race this season. 13/2 NAP

Jawwal likes to be played late and has done pace in this race with Caspian prince and Significantly.
Ascot stiff track and he has won here before.
Trainer could be in Better form but I’m risking it. 4-1 NB

    36-1 double

  5. Normal service was resumed yesterday!
    A tentative e/w NAP (is there such a thing?)…MY LAUREATE 6.45 Mallow (Cork), 18/1 as I type.

Well gone to yesterday’s winning tippers.

  6. One of my favourite Ascot days of the season, the brown Jack is always a good race. Star caliber has a lot going for it today, apart from spelling of course, however is a bit short for me. The nap goes in the last at Ascot, Haveagomecca to win the race for Michael Dods again.

        1. Lovely. We can dissect winners list at end of month but there have been some crackers. Many from you Well played again

  7. Some great tipping on here today, obviously not by me. Is it my imagination but is Richard Fahey having a very quiet time just now? Having said that I like the look of young Ella on State Patrol in the first at York.
