It’s been a hectic couple of weeks personally, so am a bit behind with the blog and missed a couple of comments – apologies, and I will update the P&L soon. For today, I just wanted to urge those who have not backed Hill Sixteen for the Grand National yet to do so before he runs in the 3.35 Kelso. I would bet him in that too – and that’s my Saturday tip – EW to 4 places for the 3.35 with Skybet – he is around 4/1. The reason I recommend EW is because he will not be fully ready, as this is part of his Grand National prep. But he might well be fit enough to win, and I’d be very surprised if he is not in the first four.
As to Aintree, Bet365 offer 66/1 for him in the National. He’ll be nearer 20/1 on the day, I think, though if you are betting EW you’ll get only the first 5 places, whereas, come the day some bookies will offer 8 places. But by then he ought to be much shorter so the trade off of taking that price today is, I think, worth it.
Good luck
My usual warning. Anything I put up as a tip here is for ‘fun money’ – stakes you can afford to lose almost without even thinking about it. There’s just as much fun to be had with small stakes.
